Your ID card, digital
The Montenegrin electronic ID card already carries an NFC chip with cryptographically signed data. insta ID activates that chip — your phone becomes the reader, with no special hardware and no installations.
What you can do
Read your ID card
Hold the card to your phone — the chip data is shown verified, signed by the Ministry of Interior certificate.
Sign a document
Sign a PDF with a qualified electronic signature from the chip. Legally equivalent to a handwritten signature.
Log in to portals
Authenticate with the card instead of a password. Works with the Tax Administration portal; the MUP portal is in the final stage.
Manage your PIN
Change the authentication or signing PIN and unblock the card with the PUK code — all on your phone.
Works on both card generations
insta ID supports both the new and the older Montenegrin ID card. No user is left out because of an older card.
